God Provides

It is so hard to put into words what I am about to say.  We have been so overwhelmed with the love and support of family, friends and a few strangers during our adoption journey.  So, we started this journey financially needing roughly $28,000 to complete our adoption.  I knew God was calling us to step out fully in faith and he would be there to provide!

I jumped in and was ready for this journey until I sent in my formal application paperwork to IAN and then I started to question God and my faith was lacking.  I was an emotional wreak for about a day until I heard a very clear answer from God.  The answer was, "the devil's key to you is going to be through finances and you need to take that key and lock that door because I (God) have this covered".  After that day the weight and pressure of coming up with $28,000 was gone and never once has it come back.  I only spoke of the finances coming in even when others were questioning how and who would provide.  Every bit of money we received we would rejoice and dance around the house.  We gave all the glory to God and thanked Him for that person or family.  I know our little girl was in the hearts of many people and it was God who would work on those individuals hearts.

There is a little girl in Uganda that is so LOVED and she is my daughter!!  Chosen, Blessed, Beautiful, Important, One-of-a-kind, Precious, Anointed Daughter of a KING!!

So, we began this journey 5 months ago needing $28,000 and today we need $0

Our Adoption is PAID IN FULL!!!!

2 Corinthians 9:8  And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work

THANK YOU all who have given and who have been praying for us.  You have all been such a blessing to our family.  This is such an exciting journey to be on with all of you!!

Please continue praying for the protection of our daughter and the millions of orphans around the world.

Waiting

It has been a while since I have updated all of you, so here I go.  We submitted all of our paperwork to our agency at the beginning of February and we are now officially waiting for our referral (meaning our child's picture and information)!!!  Every time my phone rings my heart jumps and I am running to answer it.  Sorry to those of you who have called and I sound disappointed when I hear your voice:)  We are still praying that we will have her home this summer!  We can't wait to see her face and know her name.  We have such a love for her and we have no idea who she is.  I just know that my child is half a world away living, breathing, laughing, playing, crying and all the things that my children are doing here.  I just can't wait to hold her warm little body in my arms and let her know that we have loved her before we knew her and we think about her every second of everyday.  It is hard not knowing what she is encountering everyday but we pray for her and her caretakers that God bless them and keep them safe while we are away. Our kids are so excited to meet their sister.  We have been getting the girl's room ready so the bunk bed can be moved in and have it all ready for when she gets home.  Lilah said she will sleep with her if she is scared:)  Lilah is so excited to not be the little sister anymore.  I am just trying to keep myself busy so that the days go by quickly and we get one day closer to her!

Reminder:  Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is this Saturday March 2nd from 7am to 10am at the Grimes United Methodist Church  ( 801 W 1st St. Grimes).  We will be serving pancakes, sausages, eggs, oj, coffee& muffins!!  Come hungry!!

We were also so blessed to have Tyler's K-1st grade teacher take time out of her day to make cookies (little  pieces of art) for our bake sale!!  She does such an amazing job and be sure to check out her other creative masterpieces at The Creative Cookie on facebook or fromsweetcorntopeaches.blogspot.com
What an amazing talent this girl has!!  Thanks again Jessica:)
